 Learn to Swim

Classes are held on Sunday mornings from early December at 8.00a.m. at the pool. These classes are open to people of all ages.  These classes are in demand and fill quickly and early registration is essential. Registration is normally completed a week prior to commencement of the classes.

There is a nominal fee, once only for the season covering insurance, donation to a Vietnamese swimming programme, and other costs, charged for these classes.

Stroke Correction

Correct techniques not only mean better swimming times but also ensure that our members meet the definition of strokes for club championship purposes. Classes for members start in late November at 9.00a.m. and it is only necessary to turn up at the pool to take advantage of these free classes. Swimmers will be covered by the club’s normal insurance arrangements.

Winter Swimming

Winter swimming commences the first Sunday after Easter and runs until the Sunday before the long weekend in October. Winter swimming is more casual than summer swimming – simply turn up at the pool by 10.15am ready to commence swimming at 10.30am. Each week freestyle, a form-stroke and a relay are usually held. Water temperatures normally remain quite reasonable until late May. Generally, lane ropes are not used. Swimming is free to Summer swimming members.
